Sewing Machine Basics If you’ve never used a sewing machine or if you need a refresher, this class will build your sewing confidence. This workshop introduces you to the anatomy of the sewing machine and how to get started including: bobbin winding, threading, stitch selection and sewing seams. Put your knowledge into practice with a simple envelope pillow cover. Duration: one 3-hour session Beginner Level Prerequisite: No previous sewing machine experience is required. Cost: €40	Small Sewing Projects In this class, you can practice various sewing techniques making a few items for yourself, your home or kids! There will be an assortment of projects to choose from that vary in skill level. (Click on this class to open up window with link for more details.) All materials & trims included. Duration: Three 3-hour sessions Beginner & Intermediate Level Prerequisite: none Cost: €80	Make a Bag In this 2 lesson seminar, we will be making a handbag. Learn to Sew from a Pattern Do you want to learn how to make your own clothes? In this class we will learn how to sew a garment from a commercial sewing pattern. There will be a few patterns and fabrics to choose from. Please click on the link to learn more. Cost: €80	Soft Toys Learn how to make a stuffed doll or animal in this lesson. You will have a variety of patterns to choose from that you can customize with small details. All materials included. Shorten up those skirts and pants to the proper length when you learn to do an invisible hem by hand. Please bring a few garments that need some care to class with you. Intro to Screen Printing Screen printing is a super fun way of getting a design printed onto anything you may want: t-shirts, tote-bags, fabric, etc. While traditional screen-printing is more of a challenge for the non-professional, screen printing with stencils & drawing fluid are the perfect do-it-at-home options. In this workshop, we'll be using these methods to learn about creating textile designs. Duration: One 3-hour session Prerequisite: No previous experience is required. Then this seminar is for you! Learn about the differences between machines, why and how to use them! uration: one 3-hour session Beginner Level Prerequisite: Sewing machine experience is required. Cost: €40	Intro to Block Printing In this seminar you will learn how to carve soft blocks to print designs on fabric with water based inks. Each participant will take home the blocks they carve.
